“When we listen with an open heart, we create a space for the other person to be themselves, and that is the beginning of healing.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
Autonomy and Empowerment
I am deeply committed to honoring your autonomy. You are the expert on your own life, and I will never take that away from you. My role is to walk beside you as a trusted partner, offering honest guidance while you discover your own path forward.
I blend evidence-based approaches — psychodynamic, evolutionary, and humanistic — and tailor them to what actually fits you. I pay close attention to how your past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present, while also considering the natural instincts that influence how we all think, feel, and behave. Medication is a tool I use when it makes sense, never as a default or a quick fix. Everything we do is guided by your goals and what feels right for your life.
Transparency and Trust
My office is a place where you can drop the armor and speak honestly without fear of judgment. I take time to explore the roots of your emotions and behaviors so you can understand them better and move past old patterns that no longer serve you.
Healing is not about fixing you. It is about uncovering your existing strengths and helping you build real self-compassion, peace, and purpose. When medications are part of the plan, I am completely transparent about why I recommend them, how they work, and what to expect. Your feedback matters. I adjust my approach based on how you respond because you should feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.
Respect and Dignity
I believe mental health care should be a genuine human-to-human collaboration. I reject paternalistic, overly prescriptive approaches that reduce people to diagnoses and prescriptions. Everyone carries different life experiences, and I am committed to meeting you with respect and humility no matter your background.
You can speak openly here about substance use, trauma, psychosis, troubling thoughts, or anything else on your mind. Your full story deserves to be heard. I see you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms, and I will always treat your voice with the same weight I give my own.
A Dedicated Partner in Your Recovery
I strive to be approachable, consistent, and real in my support. Whether you are facing an immediate crisis or working toward long-term growth, I am here for the entire journey. Life is unpredictable, so I make myself accessible by phone or message between sessions and do my best to arrange urgent appointments when needed.
If you are ready to begin this work, I warmly invite you to reach out. Together, we will build something meaningful.
